CHIKA

What she says becomes real. She is still learning what to say.

WILD LAB’s flagship original story, set in the world of Merivayne.

Chika walking through a fantasy landscape

The story

Chika was an ordinary girl who loved to write stories. One day she woke up in a world she had never seen. She thought it was a dream. It wasn’t.

She is caught in a battle between the Queen’s side and the rebels. She shouts one word: “Stop!”

The fighting stops.

Queen Melina happens to see it, and understands what Chika could become. Chika’s life in Merivayne begins there.

The world

Merivayne is shaped by imagination, memory and stories, and by whoever holds power over them. It is now divided: the Queen’s side against a rebellion. Hidden histories lie under the conflict, and both sides are fighting over who has the right to shape reality.

Story Weavers

A Story Weaver is someone whose words become real. They are rare.

The last one once stopped a war. Then that Story Weaver disappeared, and Merivayne has had none since. That is why the world is in turmoil.

Portrait of Chika

Chika

Chika has the power and almost no control over it. Through training, conflict, discovery and choice, she learns to reshape paths, repair parts of the world and use imagination in combat. The power to rewrite reality is not only a gift. It raises questions of responsibility, freedom and control.

How it is being made

The art is soft, storybook watercolour. The story is about politics and war. It is not only for children.

CHIKA is being developed through illustrations, stories, short animation, worldbuilding and production logs. A larger action-adventure game is planned as the world and its audience grow.

Fan art

Fan art is welcome, including small-scale fan-made goods and doujinshi. Please don’t present fan works as official. For larger commercial projects, contact WILD LAB.

Chika is a child, so please make no adult or sexualised content of her.
